I was digging in my hard drive then I found this track of incredibly sad music. If there was a contest like in Guy Maddin's "The (See more) saddest music in the world" perhaps I should submit this track. To be clear, when you listen it there is something inside which grab your soul, and it's nearly impossible to listen the whole without to burst in tears. Maybe if you have too much high expectations it will not work as well as with me, feeling like digging my own grave and it will sound more for you like a busker asking for a silver penny ? But you can believe me that if there is real ASMR music, that's this really special kind of psycho-active music.

Thus, the artwork is mainly this equation (money+oil=world's end) I don't know from where come this sadness, but this could be the origin. Or more generally that despite we know the reason most of the time we are unable to avoid any cataclysm, instead it's like we try to dive further into. This time in france it seems a lot of people realized this, because nearly all are struggling to get rid of a dictator apprentice, and would change this archaic system into something more accurate to the present time needs. I hope we will able to do this revolution and stick all together till find new ways to live and then to save the world of the climate disaster.

All confusion is absolutely necessary to us.

Just a word about this album, usually there is a beginning and an end to everything. So with our first one and this one we did both, to be sure to stay outside later... I mean to explore the after death : Life.

...and also in the same way to say that we must put an end to police violence. This may seem complicated, knowing that the police are mainly there to maintain social inequalities and enforce laws passed by the rich and to which they are not subject. However, it would be enough, for example, to tax the largest fortunes to set up a universal income, and to significantly reduce violence in the world... as well as the number of police forces. Anyway, who does not know what is the brake that prevents both social and ecological progress? Capitalism cannot be reformed, because it is in its deep nature to be against all the human qualities of solidarity, sharing, and equity.
The so-called benefits touted by its supporters eventually exist only for those who accept this fool's game, and approach the top of the pyramid. For the others, they remain out of reach behind the window. Descending from colonialism, it concentrates all the resources stolen from the oppressed into the hands of its ardent defenders. Obedience is a crime. Shouldn't we try with all our might to develop alternatives and defend them against the watchdogs of power?

But actually, knowing the cost per day of the chatGPT3 AI (around 100 000 dollars), it seems crystal clear, that the firms will provide their tool free only the time to push to the dole many art workers. And when there will be less concurrence, to turn it only available with paying subscriptions.

Another album was planned to begin the year, as a (See more) kind of wish, more focus on the way that to live for the living, to be aware in each choice of every form of life, and use this to drive toward blooming life,
seems a good solution to avoid the worst future become reality.
If it's unclear, that means amongst other things breaking down competition, to avoid exclusion, exploitation, as well as spoliation, accumulation... Build up our own time and ethic through empathy.
This is mostly an idea to stop feed the power of the capitalism disease masters. It’s already what many friends do since a while, but often people ask : what can we do to stop the disaster ?

It seems too easy to say to stop to be yourself a disaster, rejoice inside and joy will flow outside, all this kind of new age stuff, but it's obviously a more relevant way to change the situation than to face using the same tools and becoming another power instead to destroy the power at its roots.

So what make the difference is to reach really who you are first,
before to be able to improve your connection to the living.
That's building a world made of alternatives instead of an uniformized world.
That's why you can listen first this album, a kind of flashback to my inner being.

Dedicated to all the living beings from nature network, mothership earth.

La particularité des paroles de Flashback est qu’elles ont été écrites en mode bilingue.
Durant ce procédé, je me suis rendu compte qu’il était plus pertinent, par exemple pour Kill Your Idols, de ne pas traduire mot à mot, mais au contraire de développer deux versions légèrement différentes selon le langage. Cela m’a donné l’idée de faire de même avec la présentation de cet album.
Effectivement pour les anglophones qui connaissent bien la musique industrielle, l’ambiguïté du propos fonctionne. C’est d’ailleurs un des paradoxes fondamental au genre, quelque soit la pertinence des paroles, les prendre pour argent content, y adhérer au lieu des les questionner n’aurait pas de sens. Alors que l’intention est de permettre la démystification des mécanismes de la propagande familiers à la société du spectacle et, au-delà, aux médias quels qu’ils soient. Par contre pour les francophones, en particulier, celles et ceux de l’hexagone, cela pourrait au contraire sembler insensé. En particulier en 2023, face à la destruction systématique de tous les acquis sociaux et face à l’inaction climatique. Au mensonge originel des états capitalistes, qui oublient volontairement, que des générations ont cotisés pour que chaque nouveau-né, dispose de services et protections, qui lui permette de bénéficier d’une vie meilleure. Même si dans la pratique, ce sont les même familles, les mêmes organisations, les mafias des deux cotés de la lois, qui en ont bénéficié. Les mêmes qui se gavent encore sur le charnier de la république française. Les mêmes qui également font leur beurre en participant activement à la destruction de la planète. Vu « L’appel à l’insurrection » de 2007 [https://archive.org/details/AppelALInsurrection] et les albums de la 6ème République [https://archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22la+6Eme+REpublique%22], ne pas le dire, ne pas accorder mon soutien total à toutes les actions de sabotage, de blocage et de séparatisme serait pour le moins curieux. Leurs valeurs de travail/emploi, famille/patrie, compétition/exclusion ne sont pas les miennes. Pourtant on pourrait penser, que je retourne ma veste, en invitant dans la présentation anglophone à célébrer et agir par de là, l’humain, pour la vie elle-même sous toutes ses formes. C’est plus subtil. La réforme de la retraite, motivée par aucune autre volonté que de faire plus de bénéfices, de pouvoir détourner plus d’argent, semble-t-il, en condamnant les travailleurs à une vie de labeur… sans fin. A laquelle, s’ajoute les expérimentations des heures travaillées, non payées dans le cadre du RSA, qui visent, à fournir de la main d’œuvre pour les boulots de merde du patronat, des fois que s’exporte la tendance massive aux états unis à démissionner, que ce soit pour trouver un travail plus sensé ou simplement pouvoir vivre vraiment. Et vise aussi à nuire au monde associatif et au bénévolat, de la même façon, que la réforme des retraites amputera un certain nombre des personnes qui y participaient. Sans oublier le recul du droit au logement avec la loi anti-squat. Bref, on le voit bien, l’état français ne supporte plus la moindre alternative au tout commercial. Et si l’on traduit les paroles d’Alan Watts sur Society Needs Outsiders :

« - Chaque société saine permet à un certain nombre de personnes de dévier… des marginaux. Et dit qu’elles n’ont pas besoin de participer à son grand jeu. Tandis qu’une société malade et illégitime, ne peut permettre que cela se produise. »

On comprend à quel point cette société est malade, peut-être en phase terminale, avec ce que ça suppose comme horreur à venir. Si on ne se soulève pas. Mais, se soulever, s’est déjà redresser la tête, penser par soi-même, être autonome. Tout l’inverse de se polluer la tête, par exemple à coup de vidéos, qui nous confortent dans nos certitudes, tout en introduisant des germes néfastes. Cependant, il me semble que se mobiliser pour les retraites, ne peut avoir un impact, que si c’est une mobilisation unitaire. Je ne prends pas unitaire dans le sens des organisations, mais dans celui du champ des revendications. Quant à la rime avec le système immunitaire, elle n’est pas innocente.
Pour se libérer de cette maladie, qui corrompt toute la société, il ne s’agit pas de se mobiliser contre la réforme des retraites, mais pour la réforme de la société !
Les syndicats qui, depuis des années, n’ont plus rien à voir avec les syndicats nés du mouvement anarchiste, sont juste des parasites de plus, à la façon des politiciens et de leurs partis, qui n’ont que vocation d’empêcher l’autonomie et la solidarité de la population.
Et lutter pour la refondation de la société, cela veut dire ne pas lutter pour de l’argent, ou pour des intérêts corporatistes. Mais bien pour l’ensemble de la population...
(Enfin quasi, car il faudra bien trouver une façon de neutraliser l’action des prédateurs, tant sur leurs victimes, que sur les projets collectifs. Sans cela, ce sera les mêmes trahisons et mensonges politiques, la même lutte pour le pouvoir, au lieu de sa restitution à chacune et chacun.)
...et de ses intérêts réels.
Pourquoi pas à minima :
- La lutte contre le réchauffement climatique (Décroissance et alternatives énergétiques, liberté d’établir un réseau d’échange électrique entre particuliers)
- Un revenu universel (Qui ne soit pas une refonte à la baisse des allocations...)
- La baisse du temps de travail, hebdomadaire et à l’échelle de la vie.
Enfin mes propositions n’ont pas plus d'intérêt, que celles que pourraient faire quiconque, essaie d’analyser la situation et d’y répondre en se mettant en retrait, en étant ouvert d’esprit, et en mettant en pratique ses idées dans sa vie (avec plus ou moins de réussite).

Pour revenir à Flashback, l'idée est de montrer à quel point tout est bouclé.
Des cycles et des étapes, cette vieille spirale du nombre d’or.

Pourquoi persister à montrer ce qui est sous la surface ?
Parce que pour moi un album est juste le témoignage de l’expérience du vécu. Une trace sonore, une relique d'une étape de vie, qui peut se consommer ou au contraire être comprise, que ce soit conceptuellement, symboliquement ou encore par le ressentir.

The rhythm of Over (See more) Can is strongly marked by the use of a small electronic speed variator, bought in a garage sale for 2 euros. Originally it had no particular function, it was just made to serve as a practical exercise in technology class and could have ended up in a trash can. Instead, by chance it became a key part of my turntable circuit. It is now coupled to my record player to allow me to vary the speed of the loops that I make with rubber bands. A little more in reality because like the sun visor I used before, these loops oscillate being sensitive to both vibrations and these variations.

This is a detail that testifies to the Do-It-Yourself spirit which is an essential characteristic of the unclassifiable music shared by the Necrophile Hummingbird. Anything can become a musical source, it is the experimentation process that allows it. At the start of the netlabel we weren't looking to make experimental music, we were doing musical experimentations because we didn't have access to overpriced instruments. Creativity, the hijacking of toys, the recycling of household appliances, the malfunctioning of instruments at the end of their life, have opened up horizons for us that are much less common than those of ordinary musicians.

About below the surface :

The same way our album Faust Tape https://archive.org/details/PIRATE_Tapes_Faust_tape evokes more than it imitates Faust, we didn't want to fall into a caricature of CAN, but on the contrary find its spirit, in particular the kind of avant-garde experimentation featured on Tago Mago and Ege Bamyasi. This no doubt explains why intense psychedelia oozes from OVER CAN. It can also be seen as a literal reading of Krautrock: "sauerkraut rock", as at times the cursor is pushed far, closer to concrete music.

Even if to create it we were only a duo, even a trio, because the elements taken from Onl(y)ou had their say in the creation process, it is above all the fruit of a certain conception of collaboration in an improvisation group without a leader, where each member can carry the music into their universe according to the pieces and albums. It is also a reminder that this musical current, if I am not mistaken, was relatively marked by the psychedelic movement and the anarcho-libertarian and situ protest movement that developed in Germany around the 70s. CAN means Communist Anarchist Nihilist. It is also found in the phrase "Only Lovers Can Cover Can", which perhaps means that it is not music of the Egos, but of the heart, made with the guts, which refers to this consciousness, as has said David Lynch recently in a video intended for Vladimir Putin, to belong to a planetary family. Faced with the ravages of all nationalisms, we are earthlings. And this whatever the borders that the rulers will place. Whatever their lies to divide us and the fears they harbor. The day humanity succeeds in getting rid of predatory behaviors, of all those who are addicted to power, then we will know peace, and freedom will no longer be an illusion. But for that, we may need to get to know ourselves and understand the world in which we live by feeling its holistic dimension. Supporting all populations without double standards. And why not use degrowth to limit the climate crisis. And break the screens of our terminals to go outside to meet with living beings. Loving each other without owning each other. Tearing asphalt from the streets to make gardens. Share all the earth's resources fairly. And take the time to live. Together.

A propos de sur la surface de cet album :

Le rythme d'Over Can est fortement marqué par l'usage d'un petit variateur électronique de vitesse, acheté dans un vide-grenier pour 2 euros. A l'origine il n'avait pas de fonction particulière, il a juste été fabriqué pour servir d'exercice pratique en cours de technologie et aurait pu terminer dans une poubelle. Au lieu de cela, le hasard a voulu qu'il devienne un élément clef de mon circuit platine. Il est désormais couplé à mon tourne-disque pour me permettre de faire varier la vitesse des boucles que je réalise avec des élastiques. Un peu plus en réalité car à l'instar du pare-soleil que j'utilisais avant, ces boucles oscillent étant sensibles aussi bien aux vibrations qu’à ces variations.

C'est un détail qui témoigne de l'esprit Do-It-Yourself qui est une caractéristique essentielle des musiques hors-normes diffusées par le Colibri Nécrophile. Toute chose peut devenir une source musicale, c'est la démarche d'expérimentation qui le permet. Au commencement du netlabel nous ne cherchions pas à faire de la musique expérimentale, nous faisions des expérimentations musicales car nous n'avions pas accès à des instruments hors de prix. La créativité, le détournement de jouets, le recyclage d'appareils électroménagers, les dysfonctionnements d’instruments en fin de vie, nous ont ouvert des horizons bien moins courants que ceux du commun des musiciens.
Pour celles et ceux qui voudraient trouver des pistes d’expérimentation, la lecture du magazine Discuts est plus que conseillée.

A propos de sous la surface :

A la façon dont notre album Faust Tape https://archive.org/details/PIRATE_Tapes_Faust_tape évoque plus qu'il n'imite Faust, nous ne voulions surtout pas tomber dans une caricature de CAN, mais au contraire retrouver son esprit, en particulier l'expérimentation avant-gardiste présente sur Tago Mago et Ege Bamyasi. Cela explique sans doute pourquoi un psychédélisme intense suinte d’OVER CAN. Cela peut être vu aussi comme une lecture littérale du Krautrock : « rock choucroute », tant par moments le curseur est poussé loin, se rapprochant plus de la musique concrète.


Même si pour le créer nous n'étions qu'un duo, voir un trio, vu que les éléments puisés sur Onl(y)ou avaient leur mot à dire dans le processus de création, c'est avant tout le fruit d'une certaine conception de la collaboration dans un groupe d’improvisation sans leader où chaque membre peut emporter la musique dans son univers au gré des morceaux et des albums. C'est aussi un rappel que ce courant musical, si je ne me trompe pas, a été relativement marqué par le mouvement psychédélique et le mouvement contestataire anarcho-libertaire et situ qui s’est développé en Allemagne autour des années 70. CAN signifie Communiste Anarchiste Nihiliste. On le retrouve aussi dans la phrase « Only Lovers Can Cover Can », qui signifie peut-être que ce n’est pas une musique des Egos, mais du cœur, faites avec les tripes, qui renvoie à cette conscience, comme l’a dit il y a peu David Lynch dans une vidéo destinée à Vladimir Poutine, d'appartenir a une famille planétaire. Face aux ravages de tous les nationalismes, nous sommes terriens. Et ce quelles que soient les frontières que placeront les gouvernants. Quels que soient leurs mensonges pour nous diviser et les peurs qu'ils entretiennent. Le jour où l'humanité réussira à se débarrasser des comportements prédateurs, de tous ceux qui sont accros au pouvoir, alors nous connaîtrons la paix, et la liberté ne sera plus une illusion. Partager équitablement toutes les ressources de la terre. Et prendre le temps de vivre. Ensemble.

Certains remarqueront peut-être sur la version 60 mn. une anomalie dans la playlist qui passe du 9ème au 11ème morceau. Ce n’est pas une erreur mais une trace de la version 90 minutes de l’album. Desired Reality appeared like a soap bubble above the streams of blood flowing in this early 2022. I found myself with a poem that had the same name as a poem by Misuzu, Night and Day and was in the same spirit. And from thread of synchronicity‚ to needle of (See more) dream, I gathered some of her poems to mix them with some of mine. This album is addressed as it's used to say "to the children who have grown up but have been able to keep their child's heart alive."

All tracks except the 3rd and the lyrics are live improvisations recorded in the few days before the 24th of March 2022. Poetry by Misuzu Kaneko & Morne.
